IS MY CHILD READY FOR PRESCHOOL?
If you are looking for a preschool, you are probably asking yourself this question.
Most kids adapt reasonably quickly to school, they love doing fun activities and enjoy being around other kids. Preschools provide an environment that is stimulating for them. In my experience, problems in preschool are not so common and when there are problems are often related to a child’s behavior. If you child is easy going at home, eats well and does not always get upset when things do not go his or her way…, then your child should be fine. If you are concerned about your child’s behavior at home, the teachers may find it a little challenging – may be not-. In most cases, children behave better at school because teacher are professional who enjoy being around children and will help them make the best of the preschool experience.
The important question for me is: are you ready?
Some parents want to keep the children at home while they are young. Some parents could not continue with their lives without a school. Some parents take the kids to day cares since they are three months old. Some parents look for a different kind of help at home, and others do not look for any help at all. The cost of the preschool is also be a big factor to take into consideration. In any case I invite parents to make the decision without guilt, because your child can benefit from staying home too. Whatever you think is better for you and your family, is best for your child. Whenever you decide that you are ready for preschool, your child will be too.
